In Touch: Britney Spears is back in the studio— and this time she’s belting out a new tune for her sons.
“I'm at the studio recording a new song for my boys,” the pop princess tweeted earlier today. “They are going to freak out when they hear it. So excited!”
But she’s not the only one who’s excited!
Fans can expect to hear an entirely new sound from the “Scream and Shout” songstress, who has hired hip-hop producer Hit Boy to help with her new album. The famed producer previously worked on Kanye West and Jay-Z's Grammy-nominated song "N****s in Paris."
“I’m bringing my world to her world, so I’m infusing what I do in hip-hop and bring pop elements to it," Hit Boy said of his collaboration with Brit. "So it’s just going to be a global sound.”
While we’re curious to hear the new track about Sean, 7, and Jayden James, 6, we’re not surprised Britney’s chosen to do so. The star has already recorded “My Baby,” a song about her boys from her “Circus” album.
In the ballad she sang, “ With no words at all/ so tiny and small/ In love I fall/ so deep, so deep/ My precious love/ sent from above.”
And after the singer’s split from fiancé Jason Trawick earlier this month, we’re eager to hear if her new album will feature any songs about the breakup or if she’s keeping it all in the family.
