Gawker: 21-year-old Jay Matthew Riley of Woodbridge, Virginia was downloading photos of underage teenage girls, and an FBI WARNING popped up on his screen.
He really thought the warning was real so he took himself and his computer to the local police station and turned himself in.
But the message was just a COMPUTER VIRUS. It makes it appear as if your computer has been taken over for a fake FBI investigation, and demands money to unlock it.
Last week, Riley was charged with three counts of child pornography possession, and he's being held without bond.
