NBC 11 Atlanta:  About a week ago, 58-year-old Phillip Bennett of Cartersville, Georgia confronted his neighbor, Marty Corbitt, for letting his grass grow too long.  Over the course of the week, it kept escalating . . . and Phillip even SLAPPED Marty.

Finally, on Wednesday, when Marty STILL hadn't cut the grass, Phillip SNAPPED and told Marty he was going to KILL HIM.  And he meant it.  He SMASHED Marty's window, poured GASOLINE into his house . . . and SET THE HOUSE ON FIRE.

Marty grabbed his three-year-old daughter out of her room and ran.  They were both okay, but they lost EVERYTHING.

Phillip fled.  U.S. Marshals tracked him down Thursday in Murphy, North Carolina.  He's facing a TON of charges including arson, aggravated assault, criminal property damage, cruelty to children, terroristic threats, and more.
 
Phillip has a criminal history.  He did time for voluntary manslaughter . . . and while he was in prison he hit another inmate with a shovel and RIPPED OFF the guy's NOSE. 

Gawker:  In Keelung City, Taiwan, a 46-year-old man spent a day drinking, then came home to his girlfriend.  She yelled at him for getting drunk.  And he was so upset, he decided to get sweet VENGENCE.

So he grabbed a pair of scissors and CUT OFF HIS OWN JUNK.  Then he flushed it down the toilet.

We're not EXACTLY sure how that's revenge on his girlfriend.  Maybe he thought he was SO sexually gifted that he'd be depriving her of the magic?

Anyway, his girlfriend rushed him to the hospital where doctors were able to stop the bleeding.  Fortunately, the guy left himself about an inch of peen, so he'll still be able to pee.

The next day, when he sobered up, apparently he was very upset with himself.

The Smoking Gun: Thursday, around 2:45 A.M., police in Pinellas County, Florida pulled over 20-year-old Bryan Zuniga of Pinellas Park, Florida for swerving.  After Bryan stopped, he got out of his car . . . and made a RUN for it.

He kicked a hole in a fence to hide in a water treatment plant.  And that's when he found himself face-to-face with an ALLIGATOR.

The gator took the police's side, not Bryan's side . . . and started ATTACKING.  Bryan suffered MULTIPLE bites to his face and arms.

The cops eventually tracked him down and took him to the hospital.  Once he was treated and released, he was arrested and hit with several charges, including a felony for fleeing a law enforcement officer.

The gator is still on the loose.

Gawker: Giovanni Rebolledo is a dangerous gang member in Colombia.  Last year, he was sentenced to 60 years in prison for robbery, extortion, kidnapping, and torture.

But earlier this year he managed to BREAK OUT of prison . . . and he never turned up, even after a massive nationwide manhunt.  Now we know why.

Turns out Giovanni dropped $18,000 on a SEX CHANGE to become "Rosalinda."  And, as the cops put it, it was a, quote, "convincing sex change."  They're right, we've seen the photos.  Sex reassignment surgery, nose job . . . the whole bit.  

Rosalinda also got a job.  For the past two months, she's been working as a PROSTITUTE in Barranquilla, in northern Colombia. 

The cops finally busted Giovanni-slash-Rosalinda during a regular sweep for prostitutes in the area.

"Maxim" released the complete Hot 100 yesterday, and LENNAY KEKUA is on it, at #69. If that name doesn't ring a bell, she was MANTI TE'O'S FAKE GIRLFRIEND.
 
"Maxim" says, quote, "After Manti Te'o's fake girlfriend hoax of 2012, we think it might be nice to have an invisible girl of our own to love.  Why not?  She's got a ton of great qualities, including looking awesome in a bikini."

As we already heard, MILEY CYRUS tops the list this year.  She's followed by SELENA GOMEZ and RIHANNA.

New York Daily News:  First we saw a 140-year-old photo of a guy who looked just like Nicolas Cage.  Then we saw a Civil War-era photo of a guy who looked like John Travolta. Then we saw a yearbook photo from the 1960s of a woman named Judy Zipper . . . who bore a striking resemblance to Leonardo DiCaprio.

And now there's this:  A picture taken in Harlem in 1933 captured a guy who looks a lot like JAY-Z.
